The true PPP in Health Sector these days is Profit Proliferation Partnership. At the end of the day who is deriving most benefit out of this partnership are the private players. They use government money to stablise and create the brand image of their facility in the initial years when the profits are less as the trust of clients is less. Once they reach a comfortable level of their profit generation, they start finding faults with the Government and wish to snap their ties so that they could go into total profit generation.

Rahul's interview with Arnab
The simplicity and innocense was what unmistakably visible during the entire interview. He may not be shrewed but he is unlike these day politicians which is the best thing I like about him.

Opposition for public health care facilities
There is continuous effort on part of private players to oppose strengthening of public health facilities in urban areas so as to monopolies the healthcare service delivery system. They have their friends in media, politicians and beaurocratic circles with the help of whom they influence the move at its formation stages. They are very proactive as this has an impact on their very profitable business. Their penetration in places who are entrusted with policy formulation is so deep rooted that no normal person can oppose them. May God save India.
what ails our Health System
There is lot of presence of Private sector in urban areas but can't be utilized by majority of urban population as these facilities are there to make only profit and they don't want to do social service. On top of it government don't want to put any price regulations on such establishments. I am really surprised why all industries have maximum retail price based on the input plus profits but in case of hospitals there is no such thing. I don't know why? Its agreed that doctor's professional fee could vary but what about tangible infrastructure inputs like usage of OT during surgery. I don't know how when OT is being used 10 or more operations per day, charging more than a lakh per patient is right. How much recovery is required for a room i.e. OT. Its a room with equipments that is not changed after every surgery. Disposable used during surgery are charged separately and billed to user. Nobody wants to bring price regulations to this sector. Not difficult to guess why?

Sensational Media
Of late I don't feel like watching T.V. Either they are talking about rape or what a particular politician has commented. Also the way the news is presented, I have serious reservations. The news is presented with caste and religion angle. The victim is victim irrespective of caste or religion and is an Indian. You are providing people to look at it from either caste angle or from religion angle.

difference between Rahul's speech and Namo speech
When Rahul was speaking, it was as if conversation between friends. However when Namo was delivering speech, it was as if an elderly preaching what he thinks best for voters. I really don't like it. We should not be moved as animals in a Herd.

Law Minister's role as Police man
I donot want to comment on the manner which reflected childish behaviour of a Minister of Law of Government of Delhi. I happen to live in South Delhi. My neighbourhood also has lot of foreigners living on rent. We may not agree with the way they live but we must appreciate that they come from different background. It may also be true that they may not appreciate the way we live that does not mean that we go to their houses and abuse them or they come to our houses and abuse us. The harmony with which the people were treated in the neighbourhood has slowly started eroding and is missing in some areas of Delhi. The situation is worse in the villages that have become part of the expanding south Delhi.
Death of Sunanda Pushkar.
Felt so sad. What has gone wrong to our society. The social fabric that used to give shoulder to community members whenever they are depressed is truly missing in the Mega Cities. Time to plan retirement and go back to the village from where our parents came as life in cities is no easy life. My parents 88 and 82 years old are so very lonely that with all the worldly things around them they are not at peace even for a minute during the day.
Rahul's Speech
Great speech!! Felt connected to the issues he raised. Certainly a new avataar. A freshness in the manner the political speeches are made.

Shortage of IAS officers
I happen to read news on the whispersinthecorridors.com that there is shortage of 1400 IAS officers in the country. I wonder then why States/ UTs Government are relieving IAS officers for Central Staffing Scheme. They should serve their own Cadre in such a scenario. Perhaps their absence from the centre would help in curtailing the scams that are so prominent these days in the news.
