what ails our Health System

There is lot of presence of Private sector in urban areas but can't be utilized by majority of urban population as these facilities are there to make only profit and they don't want to do social service. On top of it government don't want to put any price regulations on such establishments. I am really surprised why all industries have maximum retail price based on the input plus profits but in case of hospitals there is no such thing. I don't know why? Its agreed that doctor's professional fee could vary but what about tangible infrastructure inputs like usage of OT during surgery. I don't know how when OT is being used 10 or more operations per day, charging more than a lakh per patient is right. How much recovery is required for a room i.e. OT. Its a room with equipments that is not changed after every surgery. Disposable used during surgery are charged separately and billed to user. Nobody wants to bring price regulations to this sector. Not difficult to guess why?
